Announcing The New Vision Cinema Program

In 2001, the first Invisible Film Series debuted at the Millennium Film Workshop. It was magical blend of unique visions from established & up-and-coming filmmakers, and a spawning ground for collaborative efforts & new talent.

Continuing in this tradition, the New Vision Cinema Series will, on December 16th at Millennium, present a broad range of film and videos from an equally diverse selection of film and video cineastes, many of whom are culled from the vast selection of film and video makers who had formally comprised the Invisible Film Series.

Represented will be works by such cinema visionaries as Nick Zedd, Mike Kuchar, Nisi Jacobs, Howard Guttenplan, Tim Reardon, and Edward Doty, familiar faces all to those who frequent the Millennium Film Workshop.

Also debuting works in this, our premier edition of the New Vision Cinema Series, will be filmmakers Todd Heymann, Kelly Sebastian, and James Tully.

Debuting as well at this presentation will be a collaborative effort by the show's co-curator, Michael Park, and musician Martin Rev (formerly of the rock group Suicide).

The event promises to be the most memorable rebirth of the original Invisible Film Series concept conceived by I.F.S.'s founder Jennifer MacMillan. Whether you are familiar with the Invisible Film Series or are simply looking for thought-provoking, visually innovative cinema, this is the film festival to attend.

The New Vision Film Series is co-curated by Michael Park & Valerie D'Orazio
